Today I realized it
I figured out why I can talk to you
Talk to you about anything and everything
You completely understand my life
You are my best friend
You are my closest friend that I have
And it's awesome
Before I met you, I had no one
My other best friend became a jerk
She's a blonde, so I understand why
Years before her, there was my other best friend
He was a sweetie
We spent every weekend together
Him and I would never had a free minute away from each other
After school we'd run next door and hang out
Then he moved.
He moved away; not far though
But he fell apart after he was gone
He started smoking, and drinking
He got an addiction
He became the worst of all my buddies
He changed
He became a drugy
When I found out, I cried
I was in tears for hours, even days
Me, crying over him, I didn't know what to do
I had nobody to turn to
I always turned to him
But this time around
'He' was the problem
But now
I am older and wiser
Although some say I'm not
But they're joking, I think
I'm in highschool now
I'm almost 16
And I've met you
You know me, and I appreciate it
You care about me
It seems now
Seems as though he is inside you
My old friend is back
I don't need to struggle anymore
'Cause now I have you yo help me
To help me through the struggles
The battles of backstabbers and bitches
You're like a big brother
One that I've never had
Only, You're a year younger
But that doesn't matter
This is just my way of saying thanks
I appreciate everything you've done for me
I love you as a friend, nothing more
I care about you and love you
And I'd help you through anything
I'm sure you'd do the same for me
So I appreciate it
