perception of africa

when i meet people from other countries around,and they ask me where am from and i say africa. they start to ask questions such as do u live in the desert?,have u seen lions?how come the weather is cold?i don't know about other people but i hate the way people perceive africa.africa is not a jungle neither a desert.we live in the same houses every body else live in the city and there are many countries in africa.its not that africa is a country.and the media always show the worst sad of africa.we know we are not very well built economically,but we have the resources,its our leaders who are corrupt and selfish.the media should also show the good side of africa.
