Are drugs and music a bad thing to mix? When i'm writing down my own music, i usally smoke a joint or 2 before playin, but i have alot of friends that are against it. The whole "using drugs to expand the mind" really does work. So what's so wrong with it? Sure alot of musicians met their end that way. Like Jim Morrison, Hendix, jon bonham, and others. As long as the drugs don't take over it's all good. I'd like ur input though. Is it a smart thing or is it a dumb thing? i want to hear about any drug induced musical moments that u people have had. Like getting so high that u didn't relize that ur finger tips were bleeding while u were shredin the best riff ever on ur fender or gibson. Times that u just sat there and played for hours on end because u were getting into the music. I wanna hear it. Well i'm looking forward to ur words people. Rock on!!

I don't smoke anymore at all, but when i did and I was in a band, it was always fun to just "jam", but trying to recall written songs when stoned = bad idea.

listening to music on drugs is fine. but while singing, the cocktail of them all always made me forget the lyrics. and it was time for the beast to appear. do what U wanna do but dont let drugs ruin ur life.

i don't think drugs and music are a bad thing to mix but it does depend on who you're with, what drug you're on, what you're doing, and where you are. 

since you're talking about pot...a joint or two isn't bad but it isn't good either.

if you're friends are against something it doesn't mean you should stop.

it's just your opinion.

drugs may expand your mind but when you look back on your work make sure it's really you.

well mdma, (otherwize know ans ecstacy) is a man made chemical drug, wich is known for endusing and euphoricising music, aswell as making u feel all loved up and rushing, i know i braught the conversation away from weed, but weed is a gd natural drug, nothing else 2 say about it.. its only mentally addictive, so depending wether ur weak minded or not, that will be the only affect of your "addiction" on weed smoking, but if u rlly want to av fun get some X in ur system and bosh out sum drum n bass, ive done nite performing wrecked on mdma, speed, and some other not as known drugs like ncpp n other pipresines (excuse my spellin btw lol) and it just keeps me going alllll nite, from like 10 pm till 7 am, if you havent all dazzled in the world of euphorics, hilucinagens, or just straight uppers, its alwase worth a try before u start thinking about the negatives (wich dont actually exsist, get the gud stuff, u wont recieve any bad effects).
