I wrote this song earlier today for my mother in law who was taken from us last thursday night in a car accident
 
Your daughter called me this evening
and said that you were headed to town
I said dont worry everything will be okay
thats when we heard the sirens
and they started headed your way
when they got there you were still holding on
then you closed your eyes and you went home
and we layed you to rest
and we wish you nothing less
than everything you everthing you've ever dreamed of
and we hope that we'll see you again someday
but most of all we wish you'd stayed
it was right after sundown when she gave me the call
I sit here and cried and asked the lord why did you have to leave
Now were here all alone
And we've got to move on and try to be strong
