Hey everyone, My friend and I are flying into calgary and then driving down to fernie. Does anyone have any information on the drive down, such as good places to stop at or scenic routes etc..? Also, we're staying at samesun, and want to know any information that could be helpful in our stay (hows the staff, the breakfast). What is the social life in fernie (bars, clubs, rodeo bars with the mechanical bull (is there one?)), hows the conditions in mid febuary, which areas of the mountain or town should we avoid.. any information that can make our trip great would be really appreciated.,..... cheers, dan

The drive from Calgary to Fernie is pretty uneventful. You pass through Sparwood and will see "the largest truck in the world", but thats about it. I even did that drive just yesterday. I belive theres 2 ways you can get to Fernie from Calgary and both are basically the same. Boring. I dont know much about Fernie, or the social life, but, its a pretty small place. Conditions should still be awesome though. I want to move there.
