Hey Guys, I've never boarded out west before and I've got a trip planned for go out to BC at the end of April begining of March. I was wondering if anyone knows what the usual hill conditions are like in BC around that time. What resorts can I possibly expect to be open? I know it's not the best time to be heading out to BC for boarding, but I figure since I'm out there hopefully there will still be some place with snow to ride.

Ya whistler has riding available til the end of july up on the glacier. The local Vancouver mountains are shutting down around mid april. Big White in Kelowna may possible be open then, gotta wait and see.As well as all the other interior resorts. But Whistler for sure will have at least glacier riding.

Whistler was really good in mid april last year, loads of fresh snow on a patchy base, but by late april early may it was a bit nude, mostly still good for park only on spring conditions. the telus festival is good fun too there were loads of people around and fun stuff on.

Whistler is absolutely the best mountain in B.C for riding. Park, Trees, Steeps it has it all. Riding conditions in April will be brilliant. All we've had in the last 2 months is storm after storm. Mt Seymour which is a local Mountain here has a base of over 350 in the parking lot and still counting, So you may be able to ride local hills during your time and get some warm weather slush at a fraction of the cost of Whislter.
