well, before i started going to england regularly, i always swore i'd NEVER get on a plane for ANYTHING! i've always seen them as nothing more but big silver caskets shooting through the air. and now i log onto the net cause it's slow as shi*t here at work and see the headlines. authorities in london stopped a terror attack on some of the flights. one of the planes targeted was american airlines, which is how i'm getting back to england in just 5 or so weeks! my biggest fear all my life was to get on a plane and have something go wrong. why can't i just go to england and stay??? how come i can't just get a job, send for the kid and live happily ever after?
well, there's still a good 5 and a half weeks or so left before i have to get on a plane. hopefully things cool down between now and then. i HATE flying! always have- well actually, i did fall in love with it when i first tried it and saw it wasn't so bad. but i hate it all over again.
on the other hand, i do know that the media and government does like to keep people scared. it's a good way to keep things going the way they want it all to. but at some point you have to take it seriously...
i just hate flying. hate it.
